The Business Innovation and Investment (subclass 888) is a permanent residency visa for those who hold a four-year provisional subclass 188 visa and looking to continue to own and manage a business or an investment activity in Australia and Australian state or territory respectively.

This is a permanent visa that allows Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa holders to live in Australia permanently to carry out their business activities.

 

Subclass 888 – Business Innovation Stream

The Business Innovation and Investment visa (Subclass 188) is a temporary visa for applicants who want to own or manage a new or existing business in Australia.

It also serves as a first step towards being eligible for a permanent Business Skills visa.

This visa allows overseas people with the potential to establish a new business or operate an existing business to live temporarily in Australia. Therefore, this visa holder can stay in Australia temporarily. But they have a pathway to permanent residency through Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa – subclass 888.

 

Subclass 188 – Business Innovation Stream

A temporary visa that allows overseas people who are nominated by the state or territory government to establish a new or operate an existing business in Australia.

Processing Time for Business Innovation Stream – Subclass 188: 18 – 20 Months

Applicant must go through the following process:

  1. Calculate the points of interest on the points table
  2. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) in SkillSelect online immigration system that will estimate the point score of each applicant

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa - subclass 187

The Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa (subclass 187) is for skilled workers who want to work in regional Australia. This visa involves a two-step process, firstly, nomination by an approved Australian employer an​​​d then an application under the nominated stream. 186 visa or Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) is a permanent visa for skilled workers who want to work in Australia; there are two different ways to apply for this visa:

The Temporary Residence Transition stream is for subclass 482 visa holders who have worked for three years, while holding a subclass 482 visa, in the same occupation with their nominating employer (who is not subject to a labour agreement and who has lodged a valid nomination with us under the Temporary Residence Transition stream), who wants to offer them a permanent position in that occupation.

The Direct Entry stream is for:

  • people who have been nominated by their employer under the Direct Entry stream and occupation is listed on MLTSSL.
  • people who have never, or only briefly, worked in Australia, or
  • temporary residents who do not qualify for the Temporary Residence Transition stream.

Work and Holiday visa - subclass 462

This visa enables people aged between 18 and 31 from particular countries to holiday and works in Australia for up to one year, allowing ample time to experience Australia and all it has to offer.

As a Work and Holiday Visa (462) holder, you could:

  • Stay in Australia for up to 12 months
  • Work in Australia, generally for a maximum of six months with the same employer
  • Study for up to four months
  • Easily travel in and out of Australia for the duration of your visa


To be eligible to apply for a Work and Holiday Visa (462), you’ll need to hold a passport from an eligible country, meet several health and character requirements and prove that you are able to support yourself financially during your stay.

You may also need to meet specific education and English language requirements, undertake biometrics tests and provide a letter of Government support depending on your country of passport.

Working Holiday visa - subclass 417

This visa enables people aged between 18 and 31 from particular countries to holiday and works in Australia for up to one year, allowing ample time to experience Australia and all it has to offer.

Similar to the Work and Holiday Visa (462), you’ll also need to hold a passport from an eligible country, prove your financial capacity to support yourself and meet various health and character requirements, however there are general less conditions to meet.

If you are on a Working Holiday Visa (417) it may be possible to extend your stay in Australia by applying for a second Working Holiday visa (417) before your first Working Holiday visa expires.

Partner Visa

As the name suggests, this is a visa for married partners (i.e. opposite-sex spouses) and de facto partners (including those in a same-sex relationship) of Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents and eligible New Zealand citizens to enter and remain permanently in Australia. Australia is a popular Higher Secondary Education destination for international students. Australia’s secondary schools follow to a national curriculum framework, which is progressively developed and implemented in schools to set high national standards in English, mathematics, science, history, languages, geography, the arts, health and physical education, information and communication technology, civics and citizenship, economics and business. The final years of secondary school have a different name in different states. For instance, name of Year 12 qualification in NSW is Higher School Certificate (HSC) whereas in Queensland it is called Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) HSC is the highest award in secondary education in New South Wales in Australia. To get HSC certificate, students must complete till Year 12, satisfy HSC course requirements and sit for the state-wide HSC examinations at the end of Year 12, together with approximately 75,000 Year 12 students in NSW Class structure, areas of specialisation and even the elective subjects may vary between different secondary schools. It is highly recommended that you do your research which school focuses on specific extracurricular activities that may be suitable for your children. In many countries around the world High Schools students are required to study at least 10 subjects which unnecessarily create huge pressure on the students and often many students give up as it is too much pressure and as a result they lose interest. Many students tend not to grasp the concept of each of the subject matters instead they try to find ways to compete the subjects. Therefore, these studies do not help much when they go for higher studies and they tend to struggle. Business Talent (Permanent)
visa - Subclass 132

The Business Talent Visa (Subclass 132) is a permanent resident visa for those who are willing to establish or develop a new or existing business in Australia. It requires the applicants to have sufficient funds and genuine intention to reside in a particular Australian state or territory.

Temporary Graduate Visa

  • 485 visa or Temporary Graduate visa is for international students who have recently graduated from an Australian educational institution.

    It lets you stay in Australia temporarily after you have finished your studies.

    There are two streams:

    1. Graduate Work stream. For international students with an eligible qualification who graduate with skills and qualifications that relate to an occupation on the list of eligible skilled occupations. This visa will give you 18 months of work visa from the date of granted.
    2. Post-Study Work stream. For international students who graduate with a higher education degree from an Australian education provider, regardless of their field of study. This visa will give you 24 months of work visa from the date of granted.

Skilled Nominated Visa

  • 190 visa or Skilled Nominated visa is for people who want to live and work in Australia. You must be nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency. This visa is a permanent visa for points-tested skilled workers.

    To be able to apply for this visa you need to be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government then submit an expression of interest (EOI) and then wait to be invited through SkillSelect to apply.

    Your occupation must be in the MLTSSL or STSSL and you obtained positive skills assessment from the skill assessing body of your nominated occupation.

189 visa or Skilled Independent visa is a permanent residence visa for people who are not sponsored by an employer, family or nominated by a State or Territory Government. You have to obtain a minimum point on the points test.

SESR

    • The Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa (subclass 187) is for skilled workers who want to work in regional Australia. This visa involves a two-step process, firstly, nomination by an approved Australian employer an​​​d then an application under the nominated stream. It is part of the Permanent Employer Sponsored Visa program.  This vacancy need to be available at least for two years. RSMS covers all the regional areas which do not include Brisbane, Newcastle, Wollongong, Gold Coast, Melbourne or Sydney.

      Applicants must be under 50 years of age and meet the English language requirements. You may be in or out of Australia to apply for this visa

Employer Nomination Scheme Visa - subclass 482

  • 186 visa or Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) is a permanent visa for skilled workers who want to work in Australia; there are two different ways to apply for this visa:

    The Temporary Residence Transition stream is for subclass 482 visa holders who have worked for three years, while holding a subclass 482 visa, in the same occupation with their nominating employer (who is not subject to a labour agreement and who has lodged a valid nomination with us under the Temporary Residence Transition stream), who wants to offer them a permanent position in that occupation.

    The Direct Entry stream is for:

    • people who have been nominated by their employer under the Direct Entry stream and occupation is listed on MLTSSL.
    • people who have never, or only briefly, worked in Australia, or
    • temporary residents who do not qualify for the Temporary Residence Transition stream.

    In case you do not have an employer to nominate you, you can submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect. This is possible to do in or outside Australia.
